Where we keep tabs on directories

The Directory Tally is, principally, a list of working free web directories (with one or two other pieces of useful information.) The directories are checked frequently and if a directory has transitioned from being free to a paid directory (as is often the case when they reach a higher page rank), we move it to our paid directory section. Also, if a directory does not respond to normal http requests when we perform our routine check, it is flagged and if again it does not respond the next time we perform our check, we remove it from the list. So, what you have at your fingertips is every directory submitters dream - a list of known good free web directories list by page rank.

However, the good news does not end there! If you are a directory owner, you may submit your directory to be included on this prestigious list (thus picking up another valuable relevant link, and driving traffic to your site) for absolutely free!
